It may be worth picking up the $40 pledge, with no minis, for the game boards, tokens, cards, etc. and use Mantic's Walking Dead minis from all Out War for this game. Could be a cheap way of getting in on this game as well.

Could be a cheap way of getting in on this game as well. That would be a slick way to get into the game cheaply. Unfortunately, I really like the All Out Wars rules. I've been running games with the last rules iteration and have to say that it is pretty fantastic. I'm not doing vs "competitive" games yet but running it solo or co-op is pretty great. I would rather get in on the Cryptozoic game with just a "minis only" pledge (because they do look like pretty great minis and I identify more with the show visuals than the comic art visuals). Their game might be great but Mantic's game is really all I will ever need from this universe (or even other Zombie themed games).

Yeah, I get that. One thing I like about a lot of these new mini based board games is that they are self contained and way easier to get new people into gaming. Still, I am waiting it out to see what kinds of unlocks, stretch goals and add-on's this game comes out with toward the end. However, Vampire Hunters has my attention at the moment, it just looks like a lot of fun to me.

Well they almost lost the KS but after some excellent activism by backers CZE actually made it really worth backing. Especially as you can order character packs to use in TWD AOW

Yeah, they made some very, very good changes, but I think that still would have been better off canceling and re-launching because there is less then a week left...
Anyone picking anything up?

Yeah the full tier plus all non-included addons plus the extra character boxed sets - I have some plans for the duplicates

Nice. I am wondering if I am going to get the minis of the base game with the minis.

i am taking the EB for now... I hesitate with only the minis, but I need Morgan. I love that actor from Jericho times already...
This is why 115 for now, and during pledge manager I ll take probably Lori, Shane Walker and the civilians pack. Don't need the scenery add on.

And then Cryptozoic confirmed the scale of their miniatures at 35mm (Mantic's are confirmed at 30mm). That means the Cryptozoic ones, as good as they appear, are literally head and shoulders above the Mantic ones. My other zombie-related miniatures are circa 30mm too. So ... sad face. depends on where the start and end points of measurement are - CZE have satted back in the commenst section very early on the end point of their 35mm is the top of the head. Based on that it's not a big stretch to figure their start point was the bottom of the base. Whereas the 30mm here has been described as from the top of the base to the miniature's eyes. Based on that and the supporting evidence of the pic, the minis are nor as far removed in size from each other as the raw numbers might suggest. In the absence of other confirmation, I'm happy to use the graphical evidence provided to inform my decision that there is no appreciable difference in size

I'm in now. Base gaming tier for the minis. I'll add-on the choice extra minis to round things out. That RV stretchgoal would be ah-mazing. Not too worried about scale. I likely won't be mixing TV show character with the comic ones so only the zombies will be out of scale (if at all).

Yeah I got an EB to, man if this things was set up right from the start it could have been nuts! I actuly think that the minis will be close enough in scale as to not matter much. Now I also am going to have to back vampire hunters because that game looks awesome.

Yeah, I'm in for Vampire Hunters, Darkness Sabotage and Evil Dead 2 (ED2 only because I have it planned as a gift for my ex who loves ED) as well. I think Eddy didn't bother getting into this KS for walking dead because of the craptastic KS early on, but I will have a duplicate for him just in case he wants one after the KS ends as there is so much KSE content now
