I'm really enjoying playing with family already in 'competitive' and story missions and have tried a few solo missions in the days gone bye expansion as a campaign. Potentially I'm going to create some missions for a campaign for myself and my son to play through. Has anybody had any thoughts yet on custom scenarios? And how they work to play through?
Also just a quick rules question. In solo instead of moving a walker in a direction of your choice you move them towards nearest survivor. Everytime we've pulled the herd event in solo it's spelled doom for a survivor! We've started moving the survivor who's nearest to the middle in solo and then other walkers toward it instead, has anyone had this problem in solo?

I've made my own scenarios (see the Co-op thread here: co-op session reports) Since they are custom, you might have to tweak them a little as you play to keep the tension up. I don't have my KS copy yet but if they have more scenarios, those can be used as a guide to see how Mantic balances things. Regarding the solo vs herd event... I'm not sure as it's been awhile since I've had the game on the table but it makes sense that survivors caught in a bad position go down easy when a strong event is played. Pretty thematic too :-)

Along the same lines in my playthroughs (with test kit, have not received game yet) i have drawn the car alarm event a few times in solo.I wasn't quite sure if that is supposed to be the car nearest to a survivor as well. Im assuming it is because I played it different ways and when picking the most advantageous car (away from me) it was a breeze to win the game. Can anyone confirm for that particular event that its supposed to be car nearest to a survivor?

Yes the alarm I treat as a bonus but I've now thought that in solo missions I now randomise the events and the board that walkers enter play, but I still do nearest walkers when it says to select a walker.
