Hey everyone, so this is the start of my Project Log for Walking Dead All Out War, but it’s going to get off to a bit of a slow start as I am still very busy trying to finish construction on my house while working full time. However, it looks like I will be done by January and I should have free time again for my hobbies… Anyway here is the start I have made so far. While I plan to paint these to a mid-high personal standard I will not be reaching for my personal best here as I do with my 40K stuff as I am trying to train myself to paint to good standards with quicker times as I am notoriously slow so I am always looking for tools, supplies and techniques that will help me to become a faster painter.

that is some great stuff there! Love that blue truck where it looks like the drive hit a few walkers dead on.

Looks really good, barriers and cars are great, but the building is super!!
Can we get a link to this great free stuff? Is it "just" the texture you download or is it more than that?

Considering the house build is taking up all my time I didn’t get a chance to play the game, (beside for a few games solo to learn it), until this Christmas when I had a few days off of both work and the house build. I must say that I was very impressed with the flow of the game. Managed to teach the basics of it to my sister after a few turns and it took no time to learn how to play. I found the “you go – I go” sequence of the action phase, along with the players alternating the initiative and rolling for zombies worked extremely well to keep both players focused and interested at all times. I was also impressed with how cinematic the feel and mechanics of the game are especially with the equipment, supply and event cards as it felt very true to the source material considering it is a game. It still takes a bit of effort to remember to adjust the threat tracker at all times which will take a bit of getting use too. We also started to use the activation X markers to help keep track of the models that we had used already which I found helped a lot. Here is a quick phone pic of the game setup, I only have 8 walkers painted so far and I need to get some more done along with the survivors as I hate gamming with gray models. I also can’t wait to get the deluxe matts is wave two as I hate the paper matts.

Finally, i have a good update to show you guys. First off here are the supply markers that i completed: Next is Derek and Sandra, these are the first two survivor miniatures that i completed, i would put them in the mid-high level of my skill and at only about two hours per mini, i am happy with these results. I could strive for high-top level of my skill, but i would triple my time per mini and i don't want that for this project, i will reserve that for my 40k minis. Still, I hope to improve upon my flesh tones as i progress through the walking dead minis as most of my experience is with 40k and War Machine models, not a lot of actual flesh and skin tones over the years. Last, we have my heard of walkers thus far... i have two different flesh tones on the go here, i'm not sure what i like best at the moment but for now i will continue with both for variety. I completed these to my mid level skill and they are taking about a hour each, and i am very happy with the time it has taken me to get all this done.
