Has anyone else noticed how even if the Governor is involved this game is much easier to survive with two players than it is 3 or 4. The more people on the board the lower the equipment deck starts and the more event cards have to be played. And also, how many times you feel really confident that you are going to complete it, then the last few turns completely obliterate you.
What are everyone else's experience?

I only recently got this game and the wife and I had a chance to play it through once, and for the first 6 turns we thought that we were going to breeze through it, then... the zombies started to build up everywhere and totally destroyed on our equipment cards… it didn’t help that her secret mission was to hoard equipment cards either…

I would leave the secret missions for when there are more than two players. Have you got the Woodbury expansion? It makes the game even better. I'm at about a 60% success rate at the moment.

No, not yet, I wanted to give the base game a few runs first, my group is going to give it a go with 4 people soon though.

Much harder like that. I suggest trying it while discussing the cards first before going for the leader based movement and defying. We had a great 4 player on Sunday, in one round of firing two groups of two took out 9 walkers but it was hard when I drew the radio as my first card and the other had a rifle, metal pipe and body armour. Had worse but the body armour Glenn didn't get a weapon until turn 8.

I have the prelude to Woodury but haven't got round to playing it yet. My sons and I along with a friend of mine who plays weekly play the core game at the atm. i cant wait to get round to playing the solos. ive also played group play that is mantle great fun. but it can get a bit much and over quickly if everyone is shooting.
