Having spent over $300 on this KS, I'm a little disappointed that I don't get Free P&P? I've purchased many models over the decades and anytime I've made big purchases I've always went to the seller and asked for Free P&P, else taken my business elsewhere until I always got it. I'm dreading what my P&P bill is going to be! ... Walts

Free P&P is, sadly, rare these days in kickstarters. Given the value of the product I suspect that Mantic need the purchaser to cover this cost, otherwise the shipping bills would be huge. Don't forget the game will come in two waves, all for one P&P charge.
I feel your pain, my Reaper Bones P&P costs were massive second and third time around.

Many companies still offer free P&P with larger orders, but I never expect it with Kickstarters, the amount of goods we get tend to lead to very large packages and those cost a lot to ship. Mantic could have possibly covered those charges by increasing the cost of the pledge levels, but then people would have complained about the inflation in the price, especially early in the KS wheb many were saying "it's not worth the 125 price tag, blah blah" and the campaign would have been far less successful with few backers to fun SG that improved the deal. Including the P&P in the pledge would have also iven KS a larget cut and hurt Mantic too as it would leave them with less to cover postage later. Personally I think it is also a little greedy to say "gimme free shipping or else" as many companies have a low profit line after offering discounts and forcing them to give free shipping may remove what profit they get all together once they take away what the product cost them and further overheads they have. People expect to much these days and if someone doesn't offer free shipping there are always others that do ater £40+ orders or give good reasons as to why they don't offer it at such levels. While none of us like to pay shipping, it is a necessary evil. I wouldn't worry to much about shipping for this KS though, Mantic usually give pretty good approximations on what shipping will be, unlike CMON who quote $25 to the UK when it will relly be anything from $40-80 for the majority pledging from that region

The main problem with p&p costs relates to the delay between your initial pledge and shipping of your game . I can understand from the company's POV if they include the postage they expect it will cost and then postage fees go up they'll end up having to cover the difference . You never really get free p+p it's just included in their estimate

For Black Plague I was charged $28, but a friend in the same town as me (who ordered less!) was charged $73 for shipping. Both were later dispatched the same day, delivered by the same courier and were delivered less than 15 minutes apart. The shipping increased for time period really don't match up with that at all lol!

I just paid over $31 for the arcadia quest Kickstarter shipping its just the way of Kickstarter you get so much extended value from the add-ons that it more than balances out

Since many take shipping in the Pledge Manager that has nothing to do with KS themselves and just the company running the project. CMON are notorious for irregular shipping fees between one person and the next even if they do the PM at roughly the same time and live local to one another.
