Thought is ask what people thought. I was planning on painting the characters and terrain in color and as an homage to the comic, paint the walkers in black and white. Figure this would also make it easy to differentiate between survivors and walkers.

If that is something you want to do, go for it. I would like to see how it looks, maybe paint a few zombies black and white and throw them on the colored matt with the colored terrain and survivors and see how it works together, before committing and mass painting all the walkers. It could look very cool, the zombies would look very lifeless compared to the rest of the table, which could actually look very cool.

Part of the idea comes from painting zombicide. I've painted survivors, but the thought of the giant piles of zombies has killed any painting enthusiasm. Plus through painting GW games for twenty plus years I've always hated blood splatter and battle damage
